We at Goosecraft aim to only work with suppliers that share our beliefs and values, and therefore expect that the supplier is responsible ensuring our Code of Conduct is implemented at all times. We expect our suppliers to demonstrate that they (a) take all necessary measures to ensure their own compliance with our CoC and the CoC of BSCI, and (b) take reasonable measures to ensure that all their business partners are engaged in complying with our CoC and the CoC of BSCI during the production process(es). In our CoC it is therefore also stated that Goosecraft will take reasonable and appropriate action when we feel that these values, directly or indirectly, are not being respected and pursued.
In general, the majority of Goosecraft’s partner suppliers are Amfori BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) participants and are regularly audited.
Amfori BSCI is an organisation that keeps track of local legislation changes and audits factories on social- and environmental compliance. Amfori BSCI supports companies to organize and assess their supply chain. Development and improvement of factories comes first. We work with factories that have an A, B or C BSCI score, with A being assigned the best score. We do not work with factories that have a D or E score. Goosecraft partners with manufacturers mainly in China, India and Pakistan. Goosecraft always works with production units that have taken the initiative to work towards social and environmental compliance. There are different audit types generally accepted in the textile industry, which means these can vary and even change between seasons. Herewith are some of the accepted audit types that Goosecraft accepts:
